
Yesterday was supposed to be my last long run until my race... Well.. yesterday was also a VERY busy day!! My husband has been working late this entire week... (so no running outside..) and I had kids at my house up the wazoo! ( I really don't mind having kids over to play... just can't run on my treadmill with them all there...) anyway... So after dinner I tried running on the dreadmill!! and I only got 2 miles out... when I thought I was going to puke... I realized my stomach still hadn't settle enough after dinner.. even though it was almost an hour and half later.. (**note to self.. run before you eat a big dinner**) As most of you know, since I work Friday and Saturday 11pm to 7am.. I don't usually exercise on Saturday's as I have NO energy... but I was super disappointed in myself when I didn't get my 8 in and still felt it was so important to get it done! So after some shopping in town and getting the kids bathed and into bed.. I made my way down to the dungeon.. and got on the treadmill and did 6 miles!! I figured since I had done the 2 yesterday I could handle the 6 and feel good.... as for next week... its easy peasy lemon sqeezy as my kids would all say... 2 miles Monday Tuesday and Wednesday... Thursday and Friday will be my rest days and Saturday is the big day!! I am actually really excited... A few days go I was freaking out a little.... but I feel very prepared... and feel good with how my training has gone... I feel confident that I can and will finish this race.... 19 weeks of training is going to pay off... I am so thankful for all that have helped me stay inspired and supportive... keep posted cause I will have pictures of my race for sure.. and I will have to report back to you all...
