I promise, I am trying to keep up with the blog... This is SOO important to me... but sometimes life just gets in the way.. I almost never let life get too much in the way to where it has an effect on my exercise... but sometimes it does happen...

my first run after my father-in-laws death...
really hard for me.. |
Well... so what's been going on lately??? SOOO much.... The first part of June we had a death in the family... it was one of my father-in-laws... It was so sad... but it honestly was so much better for him... Little background on him... 4 years ago he was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis... Each year his health would decline little by little... Last year 2013 his Dr.'s told him that he would need to get a lung transplant... I wanted to help out with the costs of the transplant.. and so I organized a 5k fundraiser race in his honor... Right before the race, he received a single lung transplant... and for a little while we thought things were back on the right track... But unfortunately he continued to struggle... and was in and out of the hospital... until February... he went into the hospital, and he never came out... That week I went out to Utah, I was only planning on staying for 4 days... and it ended up being an entire week. My dear father in law passed early early on Thursday morning... and we had his funeral on that following Saturday... He was one amazing man! And it has taken a toll on our entire family... I had a set back with my running the next week... I was just so EMOTIONALLY drained.. I didn't have the desire to get back to my training program... but that following Tuesday, I made myself get on the treadmill.... and it was a hard 4 miles...but I got it done... broke down a few times during it..but I got it done... the rest of the week was hard.. but I knew that my father-in-law would want me to keep pushing!! So I did... I was back on track and better than ever!!
Or so I thought....
