Keeping it real!

Hey guys! I am feeling so great today!! It has been 1 week since I have finished Insanity... this whole week I have been running and doing weight training.. trying to get ready for my 10k in almost a week...  Today I kept up with my weekly weigh-in... and guess what... I LOST!! I am now down to 179.2!!!! I can't believe it!! I am so happy.. .and I just have to say that hard work does pay off.. I literally have been pushing myself every day to continue this journey.. still trying to eat healthy and exercise... I am going to keep it up.. I am going to get to my goal wait.. and honestly I cannot wait to start Insanity up again!!! Wahoo... and for those of you doubting yourself... wake up!! you will feel great about yourself.. and if I can do it... YOU CAN DO IT! LOVE YA!! Oh next week I will be on my way to Utah... so I will have to take lots of pictures and post them of my week and run!! yay!! till then!

5k Fundraiser for my father-in-law

I have started organizing a fundraiser for my father in law...to help  raise money for a lung transplant. Our fundraiser will take place on September 21, 2013, in Highland Utah.   A little about my father-in-law  he was Diagnosed with IPF (Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis) April 2010.  There is no known cause, treatment, or cure. He was stable for three years.  However, in the spring of 2013 his condition began to deteriorate rapidly.  He is on increased oxygen and it's difficult for him to breathe much of the time. He also has severe coughing/choking attacks.  His pulmonologist recommends a lung transplant to save his life. Just recently he has signed the consent form and is in the process of having extensive tests to determine where he will be on the transplant list. Training for 10k

Holy cow... today was the second day I ran this week and it literally kicked my trash!!  I don't know what my deal is, but for the record I HATE treadmills... I think I have gotten bored running on them... So, tomorrow I am going to switch it up.. I am going to do my weight training on top of my running... hopefully I can run sometime outside next week or something to see how well I can do... I feel pretty confident I can run my 3 miles around my house just fine.. cause its outside... we shall see....

It's done!!! Results!!

I am done!! Well, I still have to do my final fit test today...but I am done!! for now... and I have to tell you this week didn't change much at all... I actually gained a pound... so I am feeling a bit discouraged... I don't know what it is... I mean if you take the scale out of the equation, I really haven't lost inches in 2 weeks at least.. I had a bit of a rough weekend.. traveling and working on our house so I wasn't really able to stop and eat every 3 hours like I prefer to do... so was it that..? or the food I ate?? I tried to eat healthier options wherever we went...I feel like maybe I have been sooo good for the first while of Insanity it was harder for me to stick to a healthier diet.. cause you know I didn't even go a week without bad sugars.. in the 2 weeks that  I told you I was going to be so good... well I didn't... but I am human right?? Okay, so with that being said... I am done being frustrated and upset.... I lost 10lbs!! during the whole program... isn't that something to be proud of?? Darn right! and 20+ inches lost!! I should be celebrating these losses!!  So with that being said... here are my final results...

I am going to keep updating the rest of the month with how my  training for a 10k is.. and I will be posting pictures of that as well and letting you know how I did...  so for now.. here are pictures I promised..

 These two pictures are in the same pants... wow.. what a difference.. I have to say I am pretty proud of how much better I look on the right side... With the black shirt there was no hiding it...but on the left.. my shirt is not clinging onto everything...  Yay!! I love to see the pictures now that I am done... It is still a work in progress and still have a lot to lose... but I am going to keep at it...  Keep coming back.. I got this!! What an accomplishment!!

One day left!!!

Tomorrow is my last day of Insanity!!! (besides the fit test that I will do on Monday..) yay!! I cannot believe it..! I am so happy.. and ready to take a break from this... it has been really hard work..! but I know it is all worth it... Now, if I can just keep eating healthy and hit hard to train for my 10k I should be able to keep my weight in check... before I start my 2nd round of Insanity... anyway, I joined this group on facebook for people that have done Insanity... its awesome and feel like I can really the get support I need... especially these guys know what I am going through cause they are doing it also... It's great and we are all motivating each other... I can't wait to weigh myself in Sunday... to see if my calorie intake change actually helped me out.. and I will be putting some before and after pictures on probably Monday.. we have to make a trip to Utah to get our house ready to rent out again... anyway till then here are some pictures I took today after my INSANE workout!

So, not much change... I am still losing on the scale.. and a little on my measurements... not as much as I would like to see... but this week I am pushing extra hard.. and my hubby seems to think I might be starving myself... and maybe that is why I only lost close to 1 pound this week... although it is a loss... which I am very happy with.. I want to make sure I am keeping my body healthy and not starving myself... We have gone over and over with how many calories I should be eating, and how many I am actually burning...  and we are going to try to have my net calories on MFP end up at 1,500 a day... (so yes, I guess I will be eating my exercise calories... not too happy about it... but I told my hubby I would try this and see if that is why I have kinda halted with losing inches...) because if you look at the last few weeks I have kinda stayed at the same measurements... so hopefully I see some change this week! Wish me luck.. and I will keep posting with my 10k training so don't go away... also because after I run my 10k, I will be starting all over again with round 2 of Insanity!! I can't wait to take pictures and send them to get an Insanity t-shirt!! yay for me!! I am really excited as I should be right??
