Totally slacking!!

Holy cow it has been a while!!  As I sit here today eating pizza for breakfast.. (I know right?)  I have been super good this week, AND I am going to run 6 miles today... and it was ONLY 2 pieces... (LOL, pizza is my weakness!!) Anyway so much has happened!! I ran my 10k in July and I felt like I kicked butt for my first time...my goal next year is to complete another 10k and train for a half.. I feel like I can TOTALLY  do it! Especially with my own motivation to keep me going. Not sure how I have all this motivation, but I can totally see my body changing for the good..and its making me oh, so happy!

I completed my second round of Insanity, although I must say I was not on target like I had wanted to be and like I had been in the first round... I think I was so burnt out to say the least... my body needed a rest...I also had a lot going on in my personal life which I will explain in a little bit that made it a little harder...but with the 2nd round of Insanity I did lose weight and inches...  I lost 7lbs and 6 1/2"!! So, not as much as the first round but I am super proud I finished it and made some more improvements... After 2 rounds of Insanity I have lost a total of 18.4lbs and 28.6" WOW!! pretty amazing I must say... my workout clothes are getting bigger and bigger by the week... but thats good right??

So I took a break from Insanity, and decided I would get back into my running... and it has been a blast!!  It's a little hard being stuck inside on a treadmill most days BUT I am however, oh so grateful to have a treadmill to run whenever I want.. and since I don't have a jogging stroller and I have my children...well you get the point.. makes it very difficult! Two days ago I ran 6 miles.. thats the most I have run since my 10k in July... I did have to take a few breaks in between but I did it...and I am going to do it again today and try and take less breaks!! I got this!! (see how I have to talk to myself into believing in myself?? great right??) As I have continued to run this month, I have still see the scale go down... I have not taken measurements yet... and I don't think I will measure myself until I start my 3rd round of Insanity.. (yes, I am that Insane!!!)  With taking some time off I feel like I am so ready to hit it hard again and bust out that Insanity workout and really make a difference in my body!! I want to gain muscle and really tone as well as drop in my weight... I look forward to keeping you guys posted with this.. I have next week left of running then I will start up my Insanity... oh... and I am going to try really hard to stay on track with my eating clean.... I think that helps A TON.. when doing Insanity to see major results!


What else...

OH! I organized a 5k for my father in law to help with the costs of a lung transplant and it was a huge success... we raised over $5,000 for him..! and he is doing well at home right now with his new lung.. he has has his ups and down, but it seems as though things are starting to come together and get better for him each day! that was another thing that I think kinda made me just go through the motions on my second round of Insanity, I was so busy with organizing and finding everything for the race... awesome!! anyway... here are some pictures from the race... hope you enjoy and come back!!
